Privacy Notice

This notice explains what Sourcely collects when you use https://sourcer-tau.vercel.app and the in-app product. Sourcely is operated by I/E Marcus Lawton (“we”, “us”).

It is written in plain English for customers and for payment-provider domain review. It is not legal advice and does not name an outside law firm.

Data we collect

Briefs and titles you paste (job specs, candidate profiles, niche descriptions).
Search results sourced from the public web (names, titles, companies, locations, public profile URLs, fit notes).
Your decisions (Yes / Maybe / Pass) and list exports you choose to download.
Wallet data: balance, top-up and spend ledger, and the user id tied to your browser.
Dodo Payments customer and payment data: Dodo Payments, as Merchant of Record, collects billing details, tax information, and transaction records. We receive enough to credit your wallet (for example transaction id, status, and the user id we sent as metadata). We do not store full card numbers. NOWPayments collects what it needs to process a crypto invoice; we receive the order id, payment id, status, USD amount, and the user id on our top-up record.
Email enrich lookups (only if you opt in): we send identity fields such as name, company, and LinkedIn URL to look up an email or phone Sourcely can reveal.
Technical data: IP address and basic request logs on our host (Vercel), plus the sourcer_uid cookie so your wallet and lists persist. For the free first-10 pack we store hashed IP and a hashed browser fingerprint (not shown in the product) so the trial cannot be reclaimed by clearing storage. Cloudflare Turnstile may run when that free path starts.

Cookies

We set a first-party httpOnly sourcer_uid cookie (up to one year) to recognize your browser. It is required for the wallet and saved searches to work. We do not use advertising pixels or sell cookie data. The free first-10 limit also uses hashed network and device signals so it survives a cookie clear.

Why we use data

To run searches you request, show and store results, bill usage against your wallet, prevent abuse, and meet legal and tax duties.Dodo Payments handles most payment tax as Merchant of Record.

Sharing

Dodo Payments — card payments, invoices, tax, refunds.
NOWPayments — crypto wallet top-ups.
Email enrich — only when you request Find email.
Infrastructure — Vercel and object storage for app data.
Live search agents — receive the brief and job parameters needed to source publicly available profiles.

We do not sell your personal data.

Retention

Wallet and search records are kept while your access is active and as needed for accounting, disputes, and legal obligations. You can ask us to delete data we control by emailing hello@marcuslawton.com. Dodo Payments retains payment records under its own policies.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal data we hold. Email hello@marcuslawton.com. You may also contact Dodo Payments about payment data they hold as Merchant of Record.

International transfers

We and our processors may process data outside Georgia, including in the EU and United States, using the safeguards those providers offer.

Children

Sourcely is for adult professional use. Do not use it if you are under 18.

Changes

We will update the “Last updated” date when this notice changes. Material changes may also be noted in the product.
